The Abend & Pimentel Duo presents: “From the Caribbean to Patagonia”
Lion Performance Hall is excited to welcome back this amazing piano and clarinet duo! Join Elena Abend (UW-Milwaukee Piano Faculty) and clarinetist Orlando Pimentel (Adj. Prof. Wisconsin Lutheran College) for a fun & inspiring evening performing Latin American Music for clarinet and piano. This vibrant program celebrates the rich musical voices of South America, featuring works by Paquito D’Rivera, Pablo Ziegler, Pedro Laurenz, Astor Piazzolla, Icli Zitella, Sebastián Díaz Peña, and Ernán López Nussa. Blending classical traditions with spirited rhythms and soulful melodies, this performance offers a journey through the diverse soundscape of the Caribbean to Patagonia.
Cordes de Lion Hosts "Ho, to the Holidays!"
Cordes de Lion (Sacia and Theodore) are hosting their first annual “Kick off the Holidays” gathering at Lion Performance Hall! Come out to celebrate the beginning of the Holiday Season with music from various artists from around the Greater Milwaukee area. It all begins with a dream … Welcome to Lion Performance Hall! We are opening up and inviting the public to come and see the transformation of this 1898 church into a chamber music performance hall. There will be two small concerts; one at 1:30 the second at 3:30. Light refreshments will be available.
